Science behind the Antarctic ice shelf collapse

March 26 : The rapid breakup of a 160-square-mile chunk of Antarctic ice began on Feb. 28. Ted Scambos, lead scientist at the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, Colo., studies the dramatic event.
