Stem cells may reverse type 1 diabetes

July 17: Dr. Juan Dominguez-Bendala, the Director of stem cell development at the University of Miami, is working on several projects that focuses on the use of embryonic stem cells to cure type 1 diabetes. While Dr. Bendala is hopeful, he says a cure may be five to ten years away.
