Mooning over the Apollo 11 landing

July 20: Forty years ago, the astronauts of Apollo 11 went into orbit around the moon, just hours before their historic landing and first steps on the lunar surface. As the world prepares to mark that milestone, it's worth remembering that it all happened in the first place because of a goal set by a young president eight years earlier.
