Mideast peace talks touted as success

On Day One of peace talks between Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Palestinian President Abbas, both parties agreed to continue talking, with the second round starting later this month in Egypt. NBC's Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: Also in Washington , with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as host, this was day one of those peace talks between Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Palestinian President Abbas . The parties have agreed to continue talking. Round two will be later this month in Egypt . And for now, the US sees progress in the facts that -- in the fact that they have both sides sitting down in the same room.
