Home-based chefs fall short on cleanliness

According to a survey by Los Angeles health officials, one in seven home kitchens would flunk a restaurant inspection. NBC's Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: Just when you try to live a clean life, according to a survey by health officials in Los Angeles , one in seven home kitchens in this country would flunk a restaurant cleanliness inspection. They say the big home offenders are dirty sponges, leftovers left out too long at room temperature, dirty shelves and cabinets. You know who you are .
