Safety police target swing sets

Cabell County, West Virginia became the latest place to try to remove swing sets from schools before realizing that they're required by State Board of Ed. NBC's Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: Americans of a certain age hardened are -- grew up hardened by the horrors of dodgeball. Remember it? The violence of it, the randomness of it, the exquisite sting of the red rubber ball , more often than not right there in the middle of your back. My personal nemesis was Kervin Abner , who seemed to throw a 100-mile-an-hour cutter when we were 9 years old. Dodgeball has been outlawed at school to -- schools across the country, and now swing sets are in the news as the safety types are going after them. Cabell County , West Virginia , was the latest place to try to remove swing sets until the embarrassing realization that they are required by state board of education policy.
