Two Cat 4 storms churn in Atlantic

As Tropical Storm Karl comes ashore in Yucatan, Hurricane Igor, the strongest Atlantic hurricane in three years, continues to churn in the mid-Atlantic, and Hurricane Julia is strengthening further west. NBC's Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: We have another storm update for you tonight. Tropical Storm Karl has come ashore in Mexico 's Yucatan Peninsula , all the way there to the left. It's expected to strengthen over the Gulf of Mexico . Hurricane Igor in the middle, the strongest Atlantic hurricane in three years, continues to churn in the mid- Atlantic . And Hurricane Julia is strengthening further west. By the way, both these storms reached Category 4 intensity today. That's that first time we've had two Category 4 's in the Atlantic at the same time since 1926 . Bears watching.
