Pop singer Eddie Fisher dies at 82

Eddie Fisher, who graced the gossip columns as much as the pop charts in the early 1950s, has died in California. He was 82. NBC's Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: Word has arrived from California that Eddie Fisher has died.

WILLIAMS: He came to fame with love songs for the bobby socks generation in the 1950s . But he was known just as well, perhaps even better known, for his marriages and divorces with Debbie Reynolds and Elizabeth Taylor , and as the dad of Princess Leia , Carrie Fisher . Eddie Fisher was 82
