Rough landing: Airline emergency caught on tape

As flight attendants barked “head down, get down,” a flight with 64 people aboard safely made it to the ground at New York’s JFK Airport despite malfunctioning landing gear. NBC’s Lester Holt reports.

LESTER HOLT, anchor: There was some tense moments in the air last night over New York 's JFK Airport . A Delta commuter flight with 64 people on board, operated by Atlanta Southeast Airlines , was forced to make an emergency landing when one of its landing gears wouldn't come down. The voice of a flight attendant was captured on cell phone video warning passengers to brace for impact.
