UT officials praise text warning system during shootout

Police identified the masked gunman who opened fire at the University of Texas at Austin on Tuesday before taking his own life as 19-year-old sophomore Colton Tooley, a math major who lived off campus. NBC's Brian Williams reports.

A 19 -year-old sophomore wearing a ski mask fired multiple shots from an AK-47 before running into a library, turning the gun on himself and taking his own life.
