Storms loom over East Coast

A tropical depression that's expected to become Tropical Storm Nicole is projected to merge with another low pressure system and bring flooding rain from Florida north through the Carolinas. NBC's Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: Folks along the East Coast are being warned of a big, bad weather system on its way north. A tropical depression off Florida that's expected to become Tropical Storm Nicole is projected to merge with another low system and bring flooding rain from Florida on up north through the Carolinas , and then the whole mess is expected to make its way to New York and western New England by Thursday.
