It basically says if it seems like women apologize more than men, it's because the two sexes may perceive wrongdoing differently, meaning what should warrant an apology. As one of the researchers put it, men apologize just as frequently as women when they think they've done something wrong, you see. It's just that they think they've done fewer things wrong.
