Hot laptops lead to 'toasted skin syndrome'

The threat of burns from prolonged laptop use could force the purchase of yet another tech accessory: lap desks. NBC's Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: Laptops are good for a lot of things, but, as you may already know, they may not be all that good for your lap. A new study out of Switzerland tells us that prolonged use can actually damage the skin because of the heat they give off and cause lap discoloration in rare cases.
