Crocs, snakes infest Australian floodwaters

Australian authorities warn it could be another two weeks before flooding across the state of Queensland begins to recede. NBC's Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: And overseas in Australia , it's snakes that are part of the problem for people who already have enough to worry about. Their city is soaked. Now the floodwaters in their neighborhoods are infested with snakes, even some crocodiles, as people there evacuate their homes ahead of the Fitzroy River 's peak. The flooding across the state of Queensland has affected an area larger than the state of Texas , and authorities warn it could be another two weeks before it's all over.
