Obama gives Gibbs a tie that binds
President Obama on Friday showed up in the West Wing Briefing Room on Friday with a gift for Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on his last day—a tie Gibbs lent him to deliver the keynote speech at the '04 Democratic Convention in Boston. NBC's Brian Williams reports.

>>> this was among the busier days at the obama white house , and yet this was the last day on the job for press secretary robert gibbs . for the occasion, the president showed up in the west wing briefing room and brought a gift, the tie he borrowed from gibbs to deliver the keynote speech at the '04 democratic convention back in boston because mr. obama wasn't even a u.s. senator back then, thought it looked better than any of the ones he brought for the occasion. gibbs had considered the tie long gone and was steamed about the event before he got it back today, albeit under glass.
