BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: Former president George W. Bush spoke publicly on the death of Osama bin Laden for the first time last night in Las Vegas . He was speaking in a meeting of hedge fund managers. Said he was eating souffle at a restaurant with his wife, Laura , and two friends on that Sunday night when President Obama called him with the news. Mr. Bush called bin Laden 's death, quote, "a great victory in the war on terror ," and he told the president, apparently, 'good call.'
