BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: This next item is hard to take if you're an old-school believer in American architectural dominance over the skies. A group of Saudi investors has decided what Saudi Arabia is missing is the world's tallest building . That title currently resides in the same region of the world, the building called the Burj in Dubai , but this one will go higher. The kick here is they've hired a Chicago architectural firm -- from the city that gave us Sears tower , the nation that gave us the Empire State Building . In a few years and $1.2 billion down the road, an American design will be the tallest building in the world, but it won't be anywhere near America .
