Perseid meteor shower to dazzle on Sunday

Make sure you look up on Sunday night to watch the annual Perseid meteor shower, considered optimal this year because there won't be a moon in the sky. It’s best viewed with the naked eye. Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: The greatest show on Earth will be in the sky above where you live tonight, barring cloud cover. It's the annual Perseid meteor shower , considered optimal this year because there won't be a moon in the sky. It's best viewed with the naked eye. There will be an average of one per minute. The show gets better as you get closer to dawn, and then it lasts a few more nights into the early part of next week. Up next
