Boeing’s Dreamliner makes its first flight

The Boeing Dreamliner flew its first real flight with paying passengers Wednesday from Hong Kong to Tokyo. The flight came 53 years after Boeing’s first jetliner, the 707, flew.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: Speaking of flying, a new chapter in aviation history was written today. The Boeing Dreamliner is now a reality. It flew its first real flight with paying passengers on board today, Tokyo to Hong Kong , on the 53rd anniversary of the first 707 flight. And while we're not flying any faster today, the Dreamliner is a thoroughly modern and efficient plane, and the cabin pressurization is designed to make flying less taxing on passengers.
