House committee subpoenas Solyndra emails

A congressional vote decided to subpoena internal White House emails related to a half-billion dollar taxpayer loan to Solyndra, the solar company that went bankrupt. NBC’s Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: The stage is set tonight for a potential constitutional showdown between the Obama White House and Congress after a congressional vote to subpoena internal White House emails, including those sent from the president's own BlackBerry related to that controversial half billion dollar taxpayer loan to Solyndra , the solar company that went bankrupt. Senior administration officials are signaling the White House is prepared to invoke executive privilege to keep those high level emails private.
