Thousands still in the dark in Conn. after snowstorm

The Connecticut power company said it hopes to reduce the number of homes without power in the state to 300,000 by tomorrow. NBC’s Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: Connecticut Light Power is saying by tomorrow they hope to reduce the number of homes without power in just that state to 300,000 still in the dark and cold tonight because of last Saturday's freak pre- Halloween snowstorm. It's been an awful week for millions in the East , many of the same places that went without power for a week after Hurricane Irene . And now the same wires are getting strung up on the same wooden poles right next to big trees that will no doubt come down in the next
