‘Occupy’ protesters clash with police in Oakland, Portland

Riot police in Oakland evicted “Occupy” protesters and tore down their camp Monday. In Portland, Ore., 1,000 protesters confronted police Sunday. NBC’s Brian Williams has more.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: We have an update tonight on the Occupy Wall Street protests around the country. Some places are losing patience. Riot police in Oakland evicted protesters, tore down their camp early this morning. Thirty-three people arrested. No major injuries reported, thankfully. And in Portland , Oregon , yesterday a thousand protesters confronted police chanting, "the whole world is watching," in a standoff that lasted several hours. By nightfall they were evicted from two downtown parks, 50 arrests there.
