Joker creator Jerry Robinson dies

Comic book artist Jerry Robinson, who is credited with creating Batman’s nemesis the Joker, has died. NBC’s Brian Williams reports.

BRIAN WILLIAMS, anchor: Jerry Robinson has died. He was the illustrator who gave us the characters of Robin , The Joker and Alfred back in the early days of Batman comics, where his characters quickly became icons, and downright scary when Cesar Romero portrayed The Joker in the TV series . Jerry Robinson was 89.
