Elderly driver injures school children

A 100-year-old driver who was backing his car out of a supermarket parking lot lost control and plowed into a group of children. NBC’s Brian Williams reports.

>>> sad story out of l.a. today where a hundred-year-old man at the wheel of a car backed up into a group of school children. preston carter was backing his cadillac out of a supermarket parking lot when lost control, plowed into the kids. they were standing at a snack stand. 14 were injured. some were trapped under the car. they're all, thankfully, expected to recover. carter had a valid license, doesn't expire until next year when he turns 101. his daughter said last night he will no longer drive. lapd is investigating.
