Kids’ salty diet raises hypertension risk

A new study in the journal Pediatrics found sodium intake among kids ages 8 to 18 averaged 3,387 mg a day, and those children with the highest levels of sodium consumption were twice as likely to have elevated or high blood pressure. NBC’s Robert Bazell reports.
