Safety regulators warn of exploding air bags

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s David Strickland warned consumers today about the dangerous sale of counterfeit air bags. Despite the risk, NHTSA believes that the problem affects less than 0.1 percent of vehicles and is not aware of any deaths or injuries connected to the phony air bags.
