August 27, 2011 – A Category 1, Hurricane Irene was a large slow moving storm that caused widespread destruction. Damage estimates tallied at more than 15 billion dollars, making it one of the costliest hurricanes in U.S. history. NBC’s Brian Williams, Kerry Sanders, Tom Costello, Ron Mott, Harry Smith and The Weather Channel’s Brian Norcross and Eric Fisher report.
