Thousands more in the dark as nor’easter dumps snow, rain

A winter storm warning has been issued for parts of New York and Connecticut as snow accumulates on some of the worst-hit parts of the Jersey Shore. Another 100,000 people are now without power because of the latest nor’easter to hit the region. Weather Channel meteorologist Jim Cantore reports from Trenton, N.J.

>> reporter: yeah, especially after nine days when i was covering a hurricane, brian, so that is what makes it very interesting, but let's show you this, this continues to break tonight, during your broadcast we have actually seen areas upgraded to a winter storm warning here, in bridgeport, new haven, you can see it is just lit up with the snow. of course, the white shows the snow. there are heavy are bands here like in trenton, this is accumulating on the roads for the first time. many areas that already got six to eight inches of snow may exceed ten inches of snow, plus. you can't exceed this across new jersey, we have had areas hit along the jersey shore in the tune of two to four inches of snow. and we've just learned as well, brian, that another 100,000 people are now added to the list in new jersey alone, with new power outages, compliments of this nor'easter.
