‘We’re very respectful of Maya traditions’
Belisa Barbachano, the innovative owner of the Hacienda Chichen resort in Mexico, teaches Maya culture and traditions as well as serving the local community. Barbachano says she was afraid of losing ancient Maya traditions and has worked to keep the language and culture alive.
