What’s the value of (x)? Algebra curriculum debated

Many high school students across the country are required to pass classes in algebra as part of a core curriculum. But some students, parents — and even teachers — are questioning whether or not there is an advantage to studying complex mathematics. NBC's Rehema Ellis reports.
