New test offers early detection for ovarian, uterine cancers

Researchers have developed a test similar to the pap smear that identifies cancerous cells in the cervical fluid. In the initial experiment involving 46 women, the test uncovered ovarian cancer 40 percent of the time and uterine cancer 100 percent of the time. NBC’s Robert Bazell reports.
