From the archives: Saturday mail delivery

April 4, 1957 -- Long before email, Twitter and Facebook, when it cost three cents to mail a letter, NBC’s Dave Garroway and Frank Blair told the country it was possible Saturday mail delivery would be stopped. Saturday mail delivery was stopped --for one day.
