From the Archives: Lady Bird Johnson

November 26, 1968 NBC’s Chet Huntley and David Burrington report on what was considered Lady Bird Johnson’s final official trip as First Lady.  Mrs. Johnson was an environmentalist and lifelong advocate for beautifying America's highways.  She was a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civilian honors awarded in the United States.
