Meteor in Russia a ‘stark reminder' to invest in space science

At a hearing Tuesday, White House science advisor John Holdren told the House Science Committee that there is little risk of a continent-destroying asteroid hitting earth -- but it is still a possibility. He also explains why scientists were unable to detect the asteroid that hit Russia in February.
