Small tsunami on the East Coast?

On June 13, tide-measuring gauges showed what appears to match the definition of a tsunami according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. NBC’s Brian Williams reports

>>> we now know that on june 13th , 30 different tide measuring gauges from north carolina all the way north to massachusetts showed what appears to match the definition of a tsunami, a sudden outflow of water and then an incoming rogue wave that wasn't large, just 1 to 6 feet above normal, but enough to pull boats from their cleats and damage some docks. some divers and surfers realized they were being carried along.
