Mandela’s condition improves as vigil grows

Outside the hospital in Pretoria, where former South African president Nelson Mandela has been hospitalized with a lung infection, a vigil continues with people offering prayers, songs and good wishes. NBC’s Brian Williams reports.

>> i would just say that it's typical for a 94-year-old man, you know, whose health is frail. his condition has improved tremendously overnight. we remain upbeat and hopeful. and he is not going to go anywhere any time soon.
