Detroit Institute of Arts: ‘The jewel in the crown of Michigan cultural life’
Foundations have pledged more than 330 million dollars to preserve the Detroit Institute of Art's collection and shore up the city's pensions. Recently, Graham W.J. Beal the director of the museum, showed some of its world renowned collection and explained why it is important for the art not be sold to pay the city’s creditors.
