The Yellowstone Fires of 1988
The Yellowstone fires of 1988 formed the largest wildfire in the history of Yellowstone National Park. Starting as many small, individual fires, the flames were fueled by winds and drought, spreading and eventually combinining into one large fire which burned for months. NBC's Garrick Utley and Roger O'Neill report on August 24, 1988.
