>> reporter: good evening, brian. let's start with new york city mayor where bill de blasio replaces millionaire mike blumberg. in boston they are used to saying minor tom menino but he didn't run for re-election. marty walsh is now tin the office. detroit elected its first white mayor in 40 years. in seattle, ed murray is that city's first openly gay mayor. a few ballot measures. in colorado, there is a pot tax coming on recreational marijuana. in portland, maine, they made recreational pot legal. and the first of its kind, a domed air conditioned sports arena . it's seen better days. a measure to save houston's astrodome failed last night. it is likely to be torn down.
