Bryan Reyes, the Palm Springs police chief, describes the two officers who were shot dead early Sunday. The officers were Jose Gilbert Vega, 63, and Lesley Zerebny, 27, who had recently returned to duty from maternity leave. Authorities say they have a suspect in custody who is being treated at a local hospital.
