For-Profit college students saddled with loan debt
About 3 million students attend for profit colleges, schools run like businesses and backed by Wall Street. Critics of the schools say they target low-income students and saddle them with high amounts of loan debt. An official from one of the leading companies in the for-profit college industry denied those claims, saying their schools offer something of value: an education.
