The Other Miracle: Pilot makes unprecedented landing
LOT Polish Airlines Flight 16 bound for Warsaw, Poland from Newark, New Jersey is an unprecedented incident in the annals of aviation. The landing gear on the Boeing 767 would not come down, meaning the wide-body plane carrying more than 200 passengers might have to crash land on its belly. A good portion of the risky flight was caught on tape. Lester Holt’s full report airs Friday, Feb. 8 at 10pm/9CDT on NBC’s Rock Center with Brian Williams.
