Neonatal doctor fights for experimental drug’s approval

Dr. Nancy Snyderman goes inside Texas Children’s Hospital, the largest neonatal intensive care unit in the United States, where an experimental drug is being used to treat babies suffering from liver disease. The drug, Omegaven, has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration, but Dr. Steve Abrams says the drug “cures one of the worst diseases we have.”
