Dutch Tulip Fields Create Cacophony of Color

Fields of flowers around the Dutch town of Lisse turn the landscape into a patchwork quilt of bright colors at this time of year.

Tulips have been grown in the Netherlands since the 16th century, when they were imported from the Ottoman Empire. The tulip season runs from March until August.
