It's the latest twist on "Christmas in July."
Amazon has released a tease of its list of "Prime Day" deals, a one-day online sales event with "Black Friday"-style discounts exclusively for members of its $99 per year Prime program. The sale kicks off Wednesday, July 15 at 3 a.m. ET.

7/15 update #2: Some shoppers are disappointed with the quality of the deals. One called it, "Amazon Garage sale."
Top items include a 32-inch TV from an unspecified brand for $75, a Chromebook laptop for $199, and 30 percent off "some clothing."
Amazon is giving the traditional mid-summer sale new packaging and a global push with its Prime Day promotion.
"'Black Friday in July' sales aren't a new thing," said deal expert Kristin Cook, "but this one seems to promise a true Black Friday experience at about the half-way mark until the real deal."
The move by the online superstore caused enough ripples in the retail space that it prompted Walmart to offer its own series of summer savings within a few days of Amazon's sale.
