United Airlines said Wednesday it is offering passengers an expedited trip through security for as little as $9 per segment.
"Premier Access" offers the perks once reserved exclusively for preferred customers.
Besides zipping through security, Premier Access also gives customers priority boarding and faster check-in.
"It’s the type of option that our customers tell us they value," United Airlines spokesperson Mary Clark told NBC News.
In a press release, United said it will set limits on the number of people who can partake "to ensure the benefits are available to the airline's premier-level frequent fliers" and eligible card members.
The airline also expanded its airport-to-doorstep baggage service, operated by BagsVIP, that allows travelers to skip baggage claim altogether .
Luggage can be delivered to any location within 100 miles of a flier's destination. Currently available in 36 cities, United plans on rolling it out to 190 domestic airports. The fees are $29.95 for the first bag, $39.95 for two bags, and $49.95 for three to eight bags.
