NBC News Exit Poll Results: Voters Divided About Outlook for Next Generation

Voters have decidedly mixed views about how life will pan out for the next generation. One in four voters believe life will be the same for the next generation, while others are divided over whether life will be better or worse for the next generation.

Clinton voters are more inclined than Trump voters to believe life will improve for the next generation of Americans with nearly half holding this optimistic viewpoint.  More than four in 10 Trump voters think life will be worse for the next generation, twice the level of Clinton voters who share this pessimistic outlook.
