Sanders Applauds Clinton College Plan

Bernie Sanders held a short press conference Wednesday to applaud Hillary Clinton's plan to make in-state public colleges and universities free for students from families who make less than $125,000 a year. Free college tuition was one of Sanders' rallying calls for his presidential campaign.

"This proposal combines some of the strongest ideas which she fought for during the campaign with some of the principles that I fought for," Sanders said. "The final product is a result of the work of both campaigns. Let me be very clear. This proposal when implemented will revolutionize the funding of higher education in America. It will improve the economic future of our country and make life immediately better for tens of millions of people stuck with high levels of student debt."

It's been 30 days since Clinton became the presumptive Democratic nominee and Sanders has yet to concede the race or formally endorse the former Secretary of State.
