UPDATE (February 2nd, 2015):
Christina Davison, missing since May 15th, 2014, was located Wednesday morning after being arrested in Lexington, Kentucky. Detectives told NBC affiliate KETK that it appears Davison has been living in Kentucky since she vanished. Preliminary information suggests Davison may have planned her own disappearance.
According to the Lexington Police Department, officers pulled Davison's vehicle over at a Shell Station, arrested and booked her on a felony warrant for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officials said Davison will be extradited back to Texas at an unknown date.
Circumstances surrounding Davison’s disappearance led to extensive searches involving the FBI and local and state officials. Police originally reported finding signs of a struggle when they first searched Davison’s home. When the FBI became involved in June 2014, they began to investigate her disappearance as an abduction and possible homicide.
Davison's ex-husband, Craig Davison, had been named a person of interest in her disappearance in July 2014. He was arrested on July 29 on a warrant for a previous charge stemming from assault and family violence involving his ex-wife. He was later released after a judge determined there was no probable cause to hold him on the charge. Kilgore Sgt. Trae Portwood told local NBC affiliate KETK at the time that, although police “don’t know his level of involvement,” they, “are interested in Craig Davison and are targeting specific individuals that [they] believe have information which can help [them].”
