The Murder of Teri Hollis

04:28

On Thanksgiving Day 1972, 11-year-old Teri Hollis went for a bike ride in her neighborhood of Torrance, California and disappeared. The next day, her body was found 60 miles north along the shoreline. She had been sexually assaulted and thrown over a cliff. Police chased more than 400 leads, but they were all dead ends. Who kidnapped Teri would haunt detectives at the Torrance Police Department for decades. In 2019, with the help of genetic genealogy, investigators finally identified the killer, closing a case that many thought would never be solved.
